Cabin Mode

Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and who else sees it. We sell data plans, not data: there is no advertising in Cabin Mode, no third-party analytics, and no technical way for us to see what you send over the connection.

In effect from 16 August 2026

01Who is responsible for your data

Webb Ventures US LLC, as a wholly owned subsidiary of, Webb Ventures PTY LTD, 75 E 3rd St, STE 7, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA is the controller of the personal information described here. This policy covers the Cabin Mode iPhone app and cabinmode.app.

Our position is simple: we collect what is needed to sell you a data plan, issue the eSIM, and support it. We do not sell personal information, we run no advertising, and there are no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.

02What we collect

Account information. Your email address, and any name you provide, through our authentication provider. If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive the identifier and email that service returns — which may be a relay address, and a relay address is fine with us.

Purchase records. What you bought, when, the amount and currency charged, the exchange rate used, and the payment identifiers Stripe returns. We never receive or store your full card number, CVC or expiry date; those go directly to Stripe.

eSIM records. The identifiers of the profile issued to you (including its ICCID and activation details), its status, its validity dates, and the data used and remaining as reported by the network operator. Operator usage figures reach us one to three hours after the fact.

Device and app information. The platform, OS version and app version, attached automatically to a support email so we do not have to ask. If you turn on notifications we store a push token so we can send you a low-data or expiry warning.

Display currency. Derived from your device's region setting, on the device, to show prices in a currency you recognise.

We do not collect your location, your browsing history, or the content of anything you send over the connection. We have no technical access to your traffic.

03Why we use it

  • to sell you a plan and take payment for it
  • to order, issue, activate, top up and replace your eSIM with our provider
  • to show you how much data and validity is left
  • to warn you when a plan is nearly out of data or about to expire, if you asked for notifications
  • to answer support requests and investigate faults
  • to detect and prevent fraud and abuse of the service
  • to keep the accounting and tax records we are legally required to keep

04Our legal basis, if you are in the UK or EU

Performing our contract with you: account, purchase and eSIM records — without them we cannot deliver a plan.

Legitimate interests: fraud prevention, service security, and support. We have weighed these against your interests and kept the data to what those purposes need.

Consent: push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings without losing anything else.

Legal obligation: tax and accounting records.

05Who we share it with

Our eSIM provider, eSIM Access, receives the order and the eSIM identifiers needed to issue and manage your profile with the destination operator. Destination operators receive the network-level identifiers any mobile connection requires.

Stripe processes payments and holds your card details as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

Clerk provides authentication. Convex hosts our database and backend. Apple's push service delivers notifications to your device.

Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter. No personal information is sent to obtain them.

We disclose information to law enforcement or a regulator only where we are legally required to, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — under the CCPA's definitions or anyone else's.

06Where your data goes

Our providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where a transfer leaves the UK or EEA it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

An eSIM is inherently international: to give you data in Japan, an identifier has to reach an operator in Japan.

07How long we keep it

Purchase and tax records: seven years, which is the retention period we are required to observe.

eSIM records: while the plan is valid, then for as long as we may need to reconcile it with our provider — normally no more than twelve months after expiry.

Account information: until you ask us to delete your account.

Support emails: two years from the last message in the thread.

Push tokens: until you turn notifications off or the token is invalidated by the device.

08Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to export it, to restrict or object to a use of it, or to withdraw consent to notifications. Email support@cabinmode.app and we will respond within 30 days.

We will keep what we are legally required to keep — a receipt for a plan you bought stays in the accounting record even if you close your account.

If you think we have got this wrong, tell us first, and then complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), or the equivalent in your country if you are outside Australia (e.g. CCPA in California, GDPR in the EU)., or to your own data protection authority if you are in the UK or EU.

09Security

Traffic to our systems is encrypted in transit. Card details never touch our servers. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

No system is perfect. If a breach affects you and is likely to cause you harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulator within the time the law requires.

10Children

Cabin Mode is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

11This website

cabinmode.app sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking scripts. Nothing you do on this page reaches us.

If you choose a currency for the prices on the page, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page remembers it next time. It stays on your device, we never receive it, and clearing your browser data removes it.

The page loads its typeface from Fontshare (api.fontshare.com), which means your browser makes a request to their servers and they can see your IP address. That is the only third-party request the page makes.

12Changes

The current version of this policy is always at cabinmode.app/privacy with the date it took effect. If we change it materially we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
