USA & Canada eSIM questions

Cabin Mode's USA & Canada plans start at $2.20 and run to $60.00, across 9 plans. The best value works out at $3.00 per GB. Prices are in USD here and shown in your own currency in the app, with nothing added at checkout.

Plan on about 1 GB a day for typical use: maps, messaging, social media and photos. Maps and messages alone come to roughly 0.4 GB a day, while video calls, streaming or hotspotting a laptop can take 2 GB or more. If you're unsure, size up: you can add more data to the same eSIM later, but you can't take unused data back.

Starts on first network connection. Validity then counts down whether or not you're using data, so buy for the length of the trip rather than the day you install it.

No. It's a data-only second line. Your usual SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts, and iMessage, WhatsApp and FaceTime keep working on your normal number over the data line.

Yes. Top up from the eSIM's screen in the app. It adds data to the line you already have, so there's nothing to reinstall.

Every iPhone from the XR onwards supports eSIM, provided it isn't locked to a carrier. Cabin Mode is iPhone-only for now.
